Kid Cudi dropped the video for “Mojo So Dope” which is basically all concert and behind the scenes footage. There is also a lot of Cudi acting all kinds of goofy…objective 1 – become friends with him, perhaps he would enjoy my social awkwardness. Watch the video below!
As the release of ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy’ approaches, I get closer and closer to wetting my pants with anticipation. Seriously. It’s been getting 5 star ratings, yo! So it must be good. I am immediately in love with Cudi for the sheer fact that he played off the Scott Pigrim title for this song. He can basically do no wrong in my eyes…well…there WAS that cocaine thing. The track is off his upcoming album and features Cee Lo Green. Both albums are out Nov.9th and I promise you will not be dissappointed in either.
I for one am confused that there is a video for this song as I swore I read in his Complex Magazine interview that he didn’t take that song seriously. That being said it is a fun video for “Erase Me” bringing to my attention that if there is ever a Jimi Hendrix biopic I think we have a lead man in Cudi. If you are a crazy “love to point out cameos” person like me you will notice that the video also features Christopher Mintz-Plasse (better know as McLovin) and Clark Duke (Greek). Complex Magazine sits down with Kid Cudi for their October/November issue and one thing is clear: he does not have low self esteem. In this honest interview Mr. Rager talks about everything from his new album to his drug problems and even about being a good example for his new daughter. Highlights:
On track Mr.Rager: “This song is about someone who is fed up with reality, who looks for thrills and excitement by any means. It’s just kind of how I was feeling at that point. I was just so angry.”
On haters that underestimate him: “People are quick to judge my singles one by one, and when the album drop, those be the assholes that are like, “Oh shit, I totally underestimated Cudi, this shit is crazy.” I told you, dumbass: You can’t look at snippets from an Oliver Stone film and be able to critique it.”
On his past drug use: “Just for the record, it bugged me out that people said it was liquid cocaine. No, I’m just fucking rich, and my blow comes in a jar.”
On his daughter Vada: ” That was eating me up, and it was stressing me out that nobody knew about her. I was trying to escape from that, too. Just trying to figure it out and make everyone happy, it’s a lot for somebody my age to handle. I was manning up and dealing with it in what I thought was the right way, but it was the wrong way. I want to be around for her. I can honestly say she was the wake-up call. The reality that it’s bigger than just you now—you have a responsibility and there’s no more time for mistakes. It’s time to stop fucking around.”
Check out this new track from Kid Cudi titled “Did You Get It.” I’ll tell you who gets it…this girl. This track is just meh to me, it’s no Mr. Rager but it will do. Unfortunately we only have the track with tags (boo!) which is probably the most annoying thing in the world and I promise once the non-tagged gets out we will update. Listen below!
