What happens when you combine the powers of Kanye West and Jay-Z? The answer is “a sure-to-be epic album called Watch The Throne.” What’s even better is the pair announced yesterday that their previously planned EP will now be a full-length studio album! They’ll be hitting the south of France in a few weeks to record. The release date is still TBA (typical) but while we wait, enjoy the below duets from the music moguls.
I don’t care what you say, the world needs Kanye West back. Last Friday, Kanye released one of his best GOOD Friday songs yet. The track is called “Don’t Stop!” and features ‘Ye, Pharrell, and Lupe Fiasco (collectively known as Child Rebel Soldier). The energy pulses throughout and the trio has a kickass collective flow. Check it out below!
Island Def Jam released a sneak peek behind the forthcoming Kanye West comeback video, Power.
According to the artist Marco Brambilla, “POWER shows a continuous camera move from extreme close-up of Mr. West revealing an a neoclassical video tableau showing characters and creatures surrounding him in an abstract environment – all moving in extreme slow motion.” Hate on Kanye’s personality and character as much as you want, but it looks like this video is going to be epic.
